This domination comes from the fact that PHP is easy to learn. It’s not a complicated language to learn. It’s even very intuitive. The thing with PHP is that it's really slow. Even with all the possible optimizations, it's still one of the poorest programming languages. In the vast majority of cases, this is not important. But for big sites that pay millions in servers, it quickly becomes hellish. This is why few large websites use PHP For PHP, I spent a lot more time learning it.
